1st History lesson

Last weekend we took Wesley on his 1st history lesson to Philadelphia, PA. He enjoyed the trip and flirting with all the people. His first stop was to Hersey, Pa where he learn how chocolate was made. We enjoyed a chocolate tasting although Wesley did not get to try any. He crawled around the building and played with mommy's ipod. Jonathan and I learned a lot about chocolate and will not eat chocolate in the same way.

From there Wesley travel down hwy 322 into Amish county. He missed the Amish buggies and horses because he was sleeping.


He saw the Liberty Bell, slept through Independence Hall, woke up during the tour of Congress Hall.

Valley Forge

Wesley at the feet of George Washington

He enjoyed Valley Forge by riding in his ergo carrier on his dad back. By the end of the trip Wesley was hitting his dad back like saying move. He loves riding in the ergo on his dad back and if Jonathan sits on the floor Wesley will climb on Jonathan's back.

Eating mom's hair a favorite Weslian pastime
He liked seeing Betsy Ross House and saw the grave of Benjamin Franklin and he went to the Liberty Museum where he learn about what people have done for his freedom. It was a great trip.

New food

Wesley found a new food this week: Blueberry pancakes. It was so messy that he need a bath afterwards.

Ponderings

How time flies so very fast in the first year of your child's life. I can't believe that in less than two months, Wesley will be a year old. Wesley is a total boy and I am amazed by the changes that I see in this little person. The neighbor was recently using a tractor to place some dirt in a low spot and Wesley was so amazed by it.

Wesley's grandfather sent him this box containing a tractor.
